About Wonderix
Wonderix is a game-based-learning AI tutor for children ages 5–8. Kids pick a subject and play a real game while an AI tutor (a “Wonder Friend”) plays right alongside them. We build each game so the only way to win is to genuinely learn the skill.
Why we built it
Most apps that call themselves “learning games” let a child win by guessing or grinding through points. The learning is optional, and kids are good at routing around anything optional.
We started Wonderix to close that gap. The idea is simple: make the skill the game. If a child can't win without using what they're learning, then winning means they learned it, and they had fun getting there.
What we believe
Play is how young children learn best, and a good companion makes it stick. So a Wonder Friend stays in the game the whole time, as coach, teammate, or friendly rival, instead of generating content and handing your child off to a screen alone.
We also believe parents deserve plain words, not dashboards. You see what your child can now do in a sentence anyone can read, not points or a number out of a hundred.
Is it backed by research?
Game-based learning has a solid evidence base. A 2022 meta-analysis of 33 studies (about 3,900 learners, from kindergarten through higher education) found a moderate but significant benefit for well-designed games over ordinary instruction (International Journal of STEM Education). A 2024 review focused on early childhood reported gains in how young kids think and how motivated they stay (Frontiers in Psychology).
That research is about game-based learning in general, not Wonderix specifically. We're pre-launch, and we won't claim our own results until we've earned them. Our plan is to let the games prove they taught something, and to share what we learn honestly.

Learning you can't skip
Each game is bound to one measurable goal. You can't pass by guessing or watching someone else. The only way through is to actually get it.
A friend, not a vending machine
A Wonder Friend plays alongside your child the whole time, and always tells them it's an AI. There's a cast of them, by design, so no single one becomes a crutch.
Built for kids' privacy
We follow COPPA (US) and GDPR-K (EU): a parent's permission first, only the data the game needs, never sold, no ads shown to children. You can review or delete it anytime.
Made to be put down
Sessions have gentle stopping points instead of streaks or pressure to keep going. A good session ends well, not endlessly.
